In the spirit of the season of giving back we wanted to highlight a local cause we love: the Seamark Ranch. We were able to sit down and talk with Tatjana Drittij, Development and Events Manager for the Seamark Ranch.

“Seamark ranch is a children’s home based in Green Cove Springs. These children come to us from all different backgrounds and we just provide a loving home from them just to heal and live in a safe environment,” said Drittij.

One of the programs the Seamark Ranch has that is particularly special is their equestrian therapy. “Horses have a tremendous way of helping kids heal. The kids come here, it’s a safe environment and the kids get to heal through horseback riding and our after school horse program or other after school programs,” Drittij said.

“We have a lot of opportunities to give back. Some organizations like to host a child’s Christmas list…some people prefer to do meals. Some people just bring in needed items for the homes. We do accept donations for all of these and it’s always such a blessing to receive them,” she said.

On December 12th the Seamark Ranch will host their White Christmas Party. “ from 9-12 people can come out to the ranch and we have hot cocoa, a fun hangout with Christmas music and individuals can drop off white needed goods,” said Drittij.

If you don’t have time to go out to Greencove Springs the Seamark Ranch does have a Jacksonville office.
