I had been meaning to stop by Plantd Juicery since I first heard they opened, and I finally made it over there. I went expecting to grab a drink, look around for a few minutes, and head out.

That is not exactly what happened.

Plantd is tucked away at 5381 South Fletcher Avenue in Fernandina Beach, and if you have driven by without noticing it, you are probably not alone. It sits back from the road surrounded by plants and greenery, and once you pull in, you realize pretty quickly that you did not just find a juice shop.

Plantd opened in 2026 and is owned and run by a mother and daughter, with the owner’s best friend working right alongside them. Honestly, the three of them are part of the charm.

If you follow Plantd on Facebook, you may already recognize them. Their videos are cute, funny, and sometimes completely unserious, which makes them even better. After meeting them in person, I can tell you that what you see online is pretty much what you get. They are friendly, welcoming, and clearly having fun with this new adventure.

Now, let’s talk about what I actually came for: the food.

Plantd serves fresh juices, smoothies, and bowls made with real ingredients, including local and organic produce whenever possible. The menu has a great variety of fresh, colorful options, whether you are stopping in for a smoothie, craving a bowl, or looking for a fresh juice.

Everything is made right there, and there is plenty to choose from depending on what you are in the mood for.

But the thing I liked most about Plantd actually happened after I ordered.

I started wandering.

Plants are everywhere. There are garden areas to walk through, things to browse, home decor to look at, and little corners that make you want to see what is around the next one. Instead of standing around waiting for your order or grabbing it and immediately getting back in the car, you can take your drink and explore.

You can stop by with a friend, grab something fresh, walk through the plants, browse around, and suddenly what was supposed to be a quick smoothie run has turned into a little afternoon outing.

Which, personally, I am perfectly fine with.

Just know there is a very real possibility that you will come for juice and leave trying to figure out where you are going to put another plant at your house.

Plantd also has something that I think matters when we talk about local businesses: personality. You know there are actual people behind this place. You see them making the drinks, you see them joking around online, and when you stop by in person, you get that same fun, welcoming energy.

That is the kind of thing that makes you want to go back.

Plantd is currently open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM and closed Sunday through Tuesday. Since it is a newer small business, I would still check their Facebook page before making a special trip in case those hours change.
